Profit Masters Academy SCAM!!!!

I fell upon a link to Profit Masters Academy and listened and honestly gave my full attention to the program.  What is this?  Well, if you've googled Profit masters academy you probably already know what it is although if you don't, quickly I will tell you.

PMA (profit masters academy) is a program that walks you through making money by promoting or advertising.  If you do not have the funds, like me, to buy a custom domain name... then they automatically put your links on one website.

They do not pay you until you've reached 50 dollars.  You get paid for every purchase, not clicks although they monitor how many clicks you get to your site.  Their refund policy is harsh- they refuse to refund you until after 30 days where you have 7 days after to ask for a refund and they will only refund you if you haven't made back the initial purchase price of the program (mine was 9.95).  Will I make any money?  Probably not as I am not good with getting people to purchase products off a new site.

I have tried a program similar to this before and it did not work.  My best advice, do not buy the program. So now I have 30 days to make 9.95 back or I will be eligible for a complete refund.  If I make any money off this program I will let this blog know. Best of luck to all of you who is looking for permanent employment.

After 30 days I did not receive my refund.  A representative from the company calls me multiple times a day trying to get me to purchase more.  I have explained to them I do not have any more money to invest although they continue to call me daily.  Do not bother with this SCAM!  You will not make any money and they are only interested in getting you money not helping you.  The hassle alone of getting multiple calls a day from Profit master scams is not worth my time.  It's been 2 months and I still receive multiple calls a day from profit masters.  Please be careful and do not trust these people.

UPDATE!

Please read the comment below for a full description on why Profit Masters is a SCAM!  Do not trust any any company that asks you to pay a monthly fee to advertise their products.  According to the comment below, they use fake names so they are not held liable.  Please be cautious and DO NOT FALL VICTIM TO THIS SCAM!  Best of luck to all of you.

  1. This company is definitely a scam. They are run by a company called Essent Media based out of Lehi, UT. Their actual address is 1250 East 200 South Ste 2F Lehi, UT 84043. They have a variety of different products, Profit Masters Academy being the newest. All it is, is a shell for the rest of their other options online. They own Online Profit Masters, Home Profit Masters, Home Income Cash Machine, Income Masters Institute, Click to Cash Membership and a variety of other older ones. Their affiliate company (coaching department that sucks the money out of you) is called Yes International. They are based in the same building but downstairs. Their customer service agents use fake names so that it doesn’t hold them liable. The “Office Manager” or “Escalations” is run by Bettie, but her real name is Mindy Guzman. Every single one of their employees uses a fake name. Ask for Rick, his real name is Ricardo. Lindsey’s real name is Caitlin, and Nia’s real name is Durou. If you did subscribe, use your 30 days to get your money back, otherwise you’re screwed and you have to pay a monthly fee for a bogus website thats seen as a scam on Facebook.

    1. Thank you so much for your comment. I figured it was some crap like that. I didn't (thank god) sign up for a monthly fee for any website. It automatically gave me a website. If I see a monthly charge for it... I will be upset.

Thank you again for your insight... it's so hard to find a job or make a dime in this economy.

    4. Unfortunately, most of those "dummy-proof" businesses (where you need a minimum of knowledge to succeed) are scams. In my opinion, the best ones I've seen DO require you to learn: say, trading stock options or whatever. The knowledge is valuable and can actually be applied to the markets. We got ripped off a few years ago by one of those online advertising sites. Now that I've learned the skills to trade in the markets (and options trading doesn't require NEAR the investment as stock trading does), we've been able to bring in a decent monthly income.

The guy is still in business, too, and he does weekly conference calls to support his students while they learn. I think the link is dartthrowtrader(dot)com. I know they have a facebook page. Good luck, guys!

  2. its a scam. after i payed 34.95 and seen it was not what i expected i called for a refund. 12 days and four calls later i still didnt have it. I talk to the "supervisor" who told me that the merchant account closed and there was no way i could get my money back. I told him this explanation did not make sense and that i wanted my money back. He claimed there was no one else to talk and basically called me dumb for not understanding how merchant accounts worked. I immediately knew this wasn't legitimate because no companies customer service is allowed to speak to you in that way. Called my bank and flagged the payment as unauthorized scam. I have a dispute in the mail and a good chance of getting my money back. Don't do it.

    1. It sounds like your safe. If they call again I would let them know you want them to remove your number from their call list. You could say I would like to be put on your do not call list. It's a shame they pester people so much. Good luck to you.

  6. I looked at their site then when I tried to leave they offered it to me for $77 then I left the website and got a phone call a few minutes later saying they could give it to me for $37.95 and another $9.95 for something else. What's pitiful is this thing is being marketed on a work at home mom site and while my site isn't specifically geared towards WAHM's, recently Iv'e been writing a number of articles on making money online and linking to top bloggers who don't sell stuff they just offer info on their blogs. When I find something I feel isn't something of worth I will put it on my blog for Mom's to see. People are just trying to make honest money not get scammed and scams burn my britches more than anything. Wasting time is bad enough but wasting money is far worse....http://life990.blogspot.com, my personal blog....

    1. Thank you for reading this blog and for leaving a comment. I agree, people are just trying new and unique routes to make money whether that's at home or starting their own business. The issue is there are scavengers out there that are taking full advantage of honest hard working people out there.

I continue to get calls weekly from "Profit Masters" and though I continue to tell them I have no desire to further invest with their company nor do I have any funds to waste on their company... they still continue to call me.

We have enough to deal with in our economy, we don't need to worry if every job we apply for or work at home opportunity is legit or just some big SCAM! Thank you again for your shared link to your blog and for leaving a comment. Have a good day.

    3. There are a few ways that I have found. I bought the book "21 ways to make money online" from Amazon and I read it thoughtfully. The best ways that I saw were: A) Have a blog B) Surveys C) Mystery shopping (though it's not online you file all your work online).

Other than that, no not really. Most of these opportunities require you to put for money that you may or may not see back. That's the real issue because once you've invested 400.00, 500.00 or more the last thing you want is to wait six months for a 3 dollar check.

This blog for instance requires very little maintenance. I do visit it daily as I continue to get emails of scams I post on here and I like to respond to all comments- I have made 40 dollars in six months.... that's not bad I suppose but it takes a while to make a few hundred a month.

Good luck to you, I hope you are able to find something that works for you and who knows... maybe there is an opportunity out there I have never heard of that will help make you extra income.

    1. I was bummed too when I figured out this was not legit. I need a job so bad too and when I purchased this I did not do my research. Thank you for reading this blog and for leaving a comment, it's sad that they continue to scam others.

  8. The fact is that any "job" where you pay them first is almost surely a scam. Legit companies don't work that way.

Survey companies I tried had a few easy teasers (but not enough to earn a payment). Then they became highly selective as to who could participate. Most surveys were thinly disguised commercials for a product. They took a long time to do compared to the meager pay you got.

    1. Jim,
Thank you for reading this blog and leaving a comment. I completely agree with you, any "job" or opportunity that expects you to pay to be apart of that is a scam of some kind for sure.

I also tried the surveys and unfortunately was never allowed to take any of them. Why bother if I don't qualify to take any of them.

  10. Did any of you happen to talk to "Steve"? He's an older man who gives you a go-to number for support. Says he here to help you make money and seems very understanding. I have my first child on the way and could really use the extra money and he said he was going to help me. Shame how they prey on us in these hard times

    1. I have talked to Steve and he seemed nice too, said he was going to help me on my way as well. The problem was anytime he every called me to make sure I was "on schedule" as he called it, he was trying to sell me more stuff. I had no further money to invest and once I told him that I was put on to a many named Rudy. Rudy did the same thing. He continued to call me and leave me multiple messages multiple times a day.

You're right, it is sad that they prey on us... especially when our economy is so bad. Good luck to you.
