I return to the States in less than two months, so I won't be able to conduct an interview for now. Please note that this position is not office based for now because of my frequent travels and tight schedules, it's a part-time JOB

I will have My mail diverted to your home as some would need immediate attention and some would be payments from clients which you would be required to process on my behalf. If you would prefer not to receive most of the mails at your house, I can have them shipped to a post office near you and then you can pick it up at your convenience But I would prefer any mail containing payments from my clients delivered to you.

When you get my mails, you are required to mail them to where I want them mailed to. You don't have to put money out of your pocket, all you have to do is receive packages at your house and do my shopping at times. You are allowed to open the packages to reveal its content. The contents will mostly Art materials, business and personal letters. All expenses and taxes will be covered by me. You will work between 10 and 15 Hours a week. I intend to pay you $800 as weekly payment. I need your service because I am constantly out of town.

I'd certainly meet up with you when I return and then we can talk about the possibility of making this long term. Let me know if you are able to handle the position. In cases where you have to do some shopping for me, I'd email you the list of what to shop for and specific stores in you area if necessary, no heavy duty things though.

    3. Thank you for your comment and for reading this blog... I agree, I wish we could find these pathetic leaches and prosecute them... Shame on them for scamming people. Of course, it doesn't help that we're going through a recession which makes us more vulnerable to these scams.

    1. Thank you for reading this blog and leaving a comment. Unfortunately I have not figured out who to report any of this to. Unless the scam artist fronts a known company which then you can report it to them; however, you are always able to report it to your local authorities but they rarely do anything. I would also like to know if there is a known place to report this to. Again, thank you for your comment and good luck to you.

    2. WHAT ABOUT REPORTING HIM TO THE BETTER BUISNESS?(BBB)...DO YOU THINK THEY COULD POSSIBLY LOOK INTO THIS?..MAYBE EVEN CALL ONE OF OUR LOCAL NEW'S CHANNELS AND HAVE THEM DO A REPORT ON IT, THEY WILL INVESTIGATE HIM FOR SURE BEFORE THEY REPORT ON IT..

      Delete
    3. I'm not too sure if BBB would do anything. Years ago when a online college forged my signature stating I would pay cash, I contacted the BBB and they did nothing. I have since been unenthusiastic to contact the BBB. However, it can be worth it to contact a local news channel.

  5. I am I to receive the same email. been desperately searching for a job but I thought to myself and even wrote this sounds too good to be true so what's the catch. I gave him a limited amount of info about myself, and he sent me 2 checks for $2,450.00! he emailed me instructions on where the money needed to be wired to. he said I needed to deposit it into my account and it would take about 24 hours to clear. I was thinking I would take them to the bank tomorrow and tell them exactly what was going on and see if they would open an account with them.... what's the worst that could happen? I'd really appreciate some advice.....

    1. Thank you for reading this blog and leaving a comment. I would be very weary if I were you to negotiate anything with a bank for them. If you wanted to pursue anything I would first ask the bank to clarify if the check was fake or not. Any check I have ever gotten from any of these scams have been fake. The bank usually confiscates them here, I don't know about where you live. Please be careful and whatever you do not wire them any money. Good luck to you.

  6. I also know where to report scam artists. Area code 202-406-5572. or you can write to US Secret Service Financial Crimes Division 950 H Street N. W. Washington, DC 20223. you can also call your state attorney general Consumer Protection Division. has anyone followed through with this guy and actually been harmed by him in any way??

    1. Thank you for this information, that is extremely helpful. I did not follow all the way through with this person as I was certain it was a scam after they hassled me to wire them the money on a Friday after the banks had closed. They further told me they would contact the police if I did not wire them any funds from the check. I explained to them the banks were closed and I'd be happy to mail them back the check if they would tell me their address. They stopped talking to me after that....

I strongly suggest that you be careful and do not trust anyone who asks you to deposit checks and wire them money. If it sounds too good to be true it most likely is. Best of luck to you.

    1. The same exact thing happened to me. The check was fake and the bank asked to keep it. I suspect it was because the check was in the banks name. Who knows. I wish you the best of luck in reporting this man.

  8. Thank you. I am so glad that I found this website. the bank let me keep the check so I can take it to the police, and the banks themselves have a fraudulent apartment to prosecute these criminals. can you believe that this man it's still emailing me asking me about the money?lol he actually just sent me his phone number and told me to text him as soon as I wire the money. the bank told me to keep in touch with him just to use as evidence against him, so I've been playing along. I thought as a joke I would say "hey you know what I think I'm going to keep the 5000 dollars in use it for my wedding".. thank you so much for the money I really appreciate it" lol what is he going to do? threatened to call the cops? I'll tell him not to bother because I already did and he is busted!lmao I just cannot believe how evil some people can be. well this one is going to pay for it. he is not going to get away with doing this to us!!!!!!! :D

    1. Thank you for the update, keep us updated please and if you can regarding the police. I suspect he resides in Africa or South America? I've been getting a lot of these scams from there which unfortunately the police can not do anything. Best of luck to you. I think it's a great idea to play along with this SCAMMER. I am very interested as to what his response will be when you state you plan to keep the "5000". Lol best wishes again to you.

  9. *Tim Johnson update*
I had a good time with this. after the bank reported him, I reported him to the Secret Service directly. I kept up with his emails for a few days and then I dropped the bomb on him today, after he demanded me to transfer the funds immediately. I said" how about I keep the money and you go get raped in jail for scamming poor innocent victims into cashing your counterfeit checks. then I said did I forget to tell you that my father is in the Secret Service? and then I said" I did not mean keep the money from your counterfeit checks, because of course that's not really money. I meant keep the reward money that I received for turning you in have a nice life in jail

    1. Thank you for keeping us updated. I am glad you were able to report him. Shame on this person for doing this to innocent people. It is bad enough that we have to deal with low wages, part time and bad employment... we shouldn't have to worry about job opportunities being real or not. Again, I am glad you were not a victim and were able to report him. Good luck to you and thank you for the update.

  10. Hi! I got the similar email and then a check. I transferred it to my bank account, but didn't transferred money anywhere. I wanted to cancel this transference of the check next day, but when I came to a bank it was that the bank closed my account, because of this check and now I can't open any account at any bank. Could somebody give some advise, how could I fix it?

    1. Ivan,

Thank you for your comment and I'm sorry to read about what happened to you. The only thing I can think of is printing out the emails or any conversations you may have had with this person and going to the your bank (the one you deposited the check into). Explain to them you've been a victim of a SCAM/crime and ask if you can have a copy of the check or any information that may help you. Afterwards, I would take the information (and if the bank doesn't or can't give you a copy of the check... that's okay) take what you have to your local police station and explain your situation.

Again, I am very sorry you're experiencing this and I hope that you are able to get some help and move past these.
